Global Mobility Service (GMS) Manager/Senior Consultant

Overall Job Purpose:
The Global Mobility Service (GMS) Manager is responsible for all projects and project team coordination. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of all assigned tasks, as well as management responsibility and leadership of the Global Mobility Service (GMS) Team which deals in Global Assignment Mobility (GAM) and Global Assignment Tax (GAT).

Main Responsibilities:
Business development

  • Development of products and services in the field of GMS compliance and consultancy
  • Building current and new customer relations and developing sales of compliance and consultancy services
  • Implementation of agreed financial budgets
  • Being the day to day contact for allocated clients
  • Working with large clients/mid-size clients
  • Ensuring clients are provided with up to date information on GMS developments
  • Involvement in business development/proposals
  • Liaising extensively with clients to establish exact requirements, agree solutions and define timeframes for project delivery
  • Serves as a point of escalation for issues or concerns from clients

Project management:

  • Manages the GMS process from pre-assignment, on-assignment, and post-assignment processes for team members and clients
  • Oversight of tax returns, payroll and preparation/review of TEQ calculations
  • Conduct arrival/departure briefings
  • Preparation of written advice for clients, and helping to advise clients on GMS issues
  • Project management of advisory projects carried out for clients
  • Handles complex cases and provides effective communication on solutions to team members and clients
  • Oversee the GMS Team by providing direction on assignment structures, policy adherence, management of cyclical processes and cost management with vendors
  • Proactive identification and management of project risks, ensuring that the appropriate measures are taken, monitor project milestones and report project status and issues to clients on a regular basis

People management:

  • Managing and coaching of junior staff
  • Responsibility for adherence to policies, standards and quality of deliverables by team members
  • Resource allocation & capacity management
  • Team reporting responsibilities including progress on active initiatives, key issues & risks, capacity utilization and projections

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Experience: 4-6 years mobility experience; experience with immigration, relocation and expat programs
  • University degree in accounting, law, finance, business administration, or equivalent professional qualification
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience in an international/multi-cultural environment
  • Previous work in immigration, compliance, and tax for a global company
  • Understanding of tax, social security, and immigration frameworks
  • Working with complexity and analysis to find a sound outcome
  • Able to communicate clearly and convey decisions
  • Strong analytical skills and highly numerate
  • Ability to work well independently and make decisions
  • Excellent communication, interaction and influencing skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Good organizational skills
  •  Strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving skills,
  • Ability to interact with clients at all levels
  • Self-motivated, innovative and analytical
  • Strong presentation and facilitating skills

  • End to end experience of project lifecycle
  • Languages: Advanced English skills (C1), Polish – native
  • Advanced PC literacy including MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
